Hazelnut Fest is a festive, indoor holiday market featuring hazelnut products, local brews and wines, small businesses, and artisan craft vendors. Hosted by the Mt. Angel Chamber of Commerce, the proceeds of this event fund the Maureen Ernst Memorial Scholarship as well as help support the annual Mt. Angel 4th of July parade and firework show, community flower baskets, and fountain.

Maureen Ernst was a longtime Mt. Angel Chamber board member and founded the Hazelnut Fest 14 years ago. She took great pride in the community service activities. Maureen fought a courageous and short battle with a rare cancer and left us in April 2018. Her memorial scholarship is awarded each year to a JFK senior who most exemplifies volunteerism and community service.
